Great children's book
This book helped to show both my 7 and 10 year olds about even when you have little to always share. I thought the book had a great message and kept them entertained for the whole book. They asked questions I thought to be insightful and allowed for us to discuss the book's lessons while keeping it the moment. The second time through we each read a different character 's line which made it an even more enjoyable experience for my kids and myself.
Perfect for students!
At our campus, we are using Leader in Me, so this is a GREAT source for teaching Habit 8!
I can see it being useful for all elementary/primary grades. The pages are full of rich, colorful pictures, and the text is easy enough for a teacher to read and have fun with!
We will be implementing it in our 1st grade lesson plans next week!
Great life lessons
This book is an amazing way to teach children about the proper way to borrow and share. I also love that the Flamingo, which is my 8 year old daughters favorite animal, comforted and encouraged Chameleon to talk about her feelings and to let her friends know how she felt. Very inspirational and educational for both of my girls who are 11 and 8 on how friends can take advantage of your kindness. Thanks to Hayley, Rachel and Cassidy.
Great story, great lesson
This was a very cute and colorful story that helps children understand the power of communication, feelings and conversations. This is a great story to use when talking with children about finding your voice and having difficult conversations with friends about your feelings. The illustrations are vibrant and bright which makes the story that much more appealing to children. It was fun to read and I love the lesson it teaches.
